The only founders who do it successfully share one trait in common: the resilience to navigate a rocky path filled with unforeseen twists and turns. That's a key lesson that Catalina Daniels and James Sherman took from researching for their new book, "Smart Startups: What Every Entrepreneur Needs to Know — Advice from 18 Harvard Business School Founders." "Having resilience is absolutely essential [for] the emotional makeup of a person in terms of becoming an entrepreneur," Sherman tells CNBC Make It. "If they don't have that type of resilience, they need to learn how to build it up." In fact, every founder the authors spoke to agreed that resilience was the biggest key to their success, even more than prior experience or a winning business idea.

Sept 15 (Reuters) - New Zealand's SailGP team will not be able to compete in Taranto, Italy, due to the impossibility of transporting and fitting a replacement wing sail in time, SailGP said on Friday. The dramatic collapse of the New Zealand team's 29-metre wing sail was caused by a misalignment in Saint-Tropez last weekend. Following the incident, SailGP investigated options for transporting a spare wing from the fleet and assembling it so the team would be ready to compete, but this has been prevented by shipping deadlines. SailGP said it is working to find a solution that will allow New Zealand to return to the starting line on Oct. 14-15 in Cadiz, Spain. After three events in the season, New Zealand is in fifth place with 17 points.

I AM just crazy about Milan’s Pirelli Tower. The stylish but severe 1950s skyscraper, once headquarters of the Italian tire company, was the brainchild of Giovanni “Gio” Ponti (1891–1979), the colossus of 20th-century Milanese design. A polymath architect-designer whose output ranged from ocean liners to cutlery sets, Ponti went on to complement this high-modernist office building, still his best-known work, with a late, imaginative masterpiece—1970’s La Concattedrale Gran Madre di Dio, a church in Taranto, a remote harbor town in Puglia in the heel of Italy’s boot.

Chris Christie slammed Trump for posting the Obamas' purported DC address. "It's like calling the special counsel a 'crackhead,' it's like putting out a former president's address," Christie said. The former New Jersey governor was referencing yet another Truth Social post that the former president posted in regard to special counsel Jack Smith. Federal prosecutors allege that Taylor Taranto reposted Trump's Truth social post, which was a series of screenshots of a 2017 newsletter about Trump's 100 days in office. The newsletter mentioned the Obamas' purported DC address as an example of the "shadow" government that was trying to thwart Trump.

Prosecutors say a January 6 defendant began live streaming outside of Obama's purported DC residence before his arrest. Prosecutors say Taranto reshared Obama's purported address from a post by Trump. According to prosecutors, Taylor Taranto reshared Trump's post on his own Truth social account. Trump shared Obama's purported address in a post that republished a 2017 newsletter in the late-conservative Phyllis Schlafly's name about Trump's first 100 days in office. After sharing that Trump post, Taranto then began live streaming as he drove through the wealthy Kalorama neighborhood of Washington D.C.

Supreme Court Criticism

Many Republicans view the recent criticism as unhinged and damaging to American democracy. According to this view, the liberals criticizing the court are sore losers trying to subvert legitimate court decisions with which they disagree. Republicans and the judges they appointed have decided to use hardball tactics to shape the law, including the stonewalling of Obama’s last court nominee and the aggressive rulings of the current court. Roosevelt failed to pass his so-called court packing bill, but his criticism of the court — and his popularity — nonetheless seemed to influence the justices: They reversed course in his second term and stopped overruling major New Deal programs. But the harsh recent criticism is intended to be an early step in a long campaign to constrain the court.
WashingtonJustice Samuel Alito was supposed to speak to law students at George Mason University in Arlington, Va., but when they showed up, he wasn’t there. “That Alito was speaking via closed circuit from a room at the Supreme Court seven miles away, rather than in person, was a sign these are not normal times,” the Washington Post reported. The Post didn’t explain what made the “times” abnormal.

On these pages, in an article published online Sunday, I observed that he may have to amend his financial-disclosure form for that year. A “red wave” wasn’t the only election result that failed to materialize in November. Neither was there a surge of anonymously sourced stories to the effect that Joe Biden is too old and feeble to seek a second term. Instead, on Nov. 19, the eve of his birthday, the New York Times published a piece with the headline “President Biden Is Turning 80. Experts Say Age Is More Than a Number.” The Times cited one of those “10 experts in aging” in assuring its readers that “the life expectancy for the average white, 80-year-old man is another eight years.”But only two days after the election, journalists began calling for two considerably younger officeholders—Justices Sonia Sotomayor , 68, and Elena Kagan , 62—to step down. Dylan Matthews of Vox, a website that caters to left-of-center middle-aged millennials, tweeted on Nov. 10: “Assuming Dems hold the Senate, this is a good time for Kagan and Sotomayor to retire.”

The film’s stars include Flaherty, Wyatt Fenner, Joey Taranto and Kiyon Spencer.
